Betaine Anhydrous (TMG)

Pure Betaine Anhydrous (TMG) >99%. Natural osmolyte for sports performance and heart health. Powerful methyl donor. Wholesale supply.

Nutri Partners offers high-purity Betaine Anhydrous powder wholesale, chemically known as Trimethylglycine (TMG). Originally discovered in sugar beets (Beta vulgaris), this compound acts as a vital methyl donor in the body and a potent osmolyte. Unlike Betaine HCL, which is used for digestion, our Betaine Anhydrous is designed for sports performance (hydration, power output) and cardiovascular health (homocysteine reduction), making it a staple ingredient in modern pre-workout and longevity formulas.

Key Features

  • Purity: Assay min. 99% (Food Grade / Pharma Grade).
  • Functionality: Acts as an osmolyte (protects cells against dehydration) and a methyl group donor.
  • Solubility: Highly soluble in water, forming a clear, colorless solution.
  • Sensory Profile: White crystalline powder with a neutral to slightly sweet taste (no acidity).
  • Benefits: Clinically shown to improve power, endurance, and muscle protein synthesis.

Applications

Betaine Anhydrous is versatile across the functional nutrition sector:

  • Sports Nutrition: A key ingredient in pre-workouts (often dosed at 2.5g) to boost muscle power, endurance, and hydration. It works synergistically with Creatine and Acetyl-L-Carnitine.
  • Heart Health: Recognized for its ability to lower homocysteine levels, a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
  • Liver Support: Assists in the processing of fats in the liver (lipotropic effect).
  • Animal Feed (Premium): (Note: We supply Food Grade) Widely used in premium aquafeed and livestock nutrition to improve stress tolerance and meat yield.

Technical Description: Betaine Anhydrous Powder Wholesale

When sourcing Betaine Anhydrous powder wholesale, the main technical challenge is Hygroscopicity.
TMG is extremely “water-loving.” If exposed to humid air, the crystals will absorb moisture and turn into a sticky liquid or hard block within hours.

  • Handling: Must be handled in humidity-controlled rooms (<40% RH).
  • Formulation: When blending with other hygroscopic ingredients (like Citrulline or Glycerol), use of anti-caking agents (Silica) is strongly recommended.
  • Distinction: Do not confuse this with Betaine HCL.

Betaine Anhydrous: pH neutral (~5.0-7.0), sweet taste. Used for performance.
Betaine HCL: Acidic (pH ~1.0), sour taste. Used for stomach acid support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TMG the same as Betaine?

Yes. TMG stands for Trimethylglycine, which describes its chemical structure (Glycine with three methyl groups attached). "Betaine" is the common name.

Does it contain gluten or allergens?

Our Betaine Anhydrous is produced via synthesis or extraction from sugar beets and is typically highly purified, removing plant proteins. It is naturally Gluten-Free and Allergen-Free.

Why did my powder turn into a brick?

As mentioned, Betaine is very hygroscopic. If the bag was left unsealed or stored in a damp warehouse, it absorbed moisture. We pack it with high-barrier liners, but proper storage at your facility is critical.
